어유진(b.1990)은 물·땅이 지닌 물질 자율성과 우주적 역학, 신화적 이미지들을 매개로 보이지 않는 관계망을 감각의 차원으로 인도하는 독립기획자이다. 조각·설치에 뿌리를 둔 그는 전시를 공간-담론적 실험실로 삼아 관객이 감각-존재-생태의 조건을 다시 마주하도록 유도한다.
조소과 출신 설치미술가로 시작해서 6년간 기관 소속 큐레이터로 상업과 비상업의 경계를 넘나드는 폭넓은 기획에 참여했고, 비평, 설치, 베뉴 내 아트 컨설팅, 프로젝트 협력 등을 진행 중이다.
독립 후의 연구 중심 실천은 상업/비상업, 예술/과학, 인간/비-인간 경계를 넘나들며 전시 기획, 비평적 글쓰기, 워크숍, 협업 프로그램 등을 통해 **세계 만들기(world-building)**를 수행한다. 물질이 스스로 말하게 하는 ‘매개(mediation)’ 전략과 ‘낯설게 하기’ 장치를 결합해 관객은 자신이 딛는 토양과 흐르는 물, 공존하는 종(species)의 목소리를 동시적으로 경험하며, 삶·죽음·생성을 둘러싼 존재론적 질문을 감각적으로 탐사하도록 해왔다.
최근 ‘염원’이라는 주제로 도나 해러웨이의 ‘함께-되기’ 개념에 대해 풀어냈고, 신한갤러리 역삼에서 2026년 10월 3인 단체전으로 전시 예정이다.
Eugene Eo (b. 1990) is a curator whose research engages with materiality, relational ontologies, and the entanglements between human, earth, and cosmic forces. Her work explores how invisible processes—such as the properties of water, geological attributes of the earth, and mythological imaginaries—become perceptible through artistic and curatorial practice.
Originally trained in sculpture and installation, she develops curatorial projects that traverse the porous boundaries between commercial and non-commercial platforms, extending across exhibition-making, critical writing, spatial interventions, and collaborative research.
